Chapter 4 the truthI awoke curled up in a ball under a blanket. I sit up to see Lukas staring out the door into a large field. I get up and plop myself next to him letting my legs dangle off the edge of the train with the air breezing up from the moving train. my hair blew into my face but I quickly moved it away.
"Hey." I say looking at Lukas.
"Hi." He says now smiling.
"Where are we headed?" I had never been anywhere outside the city that frightened and excited me.
"Not sure just away from the city where it's safe. The only thing out here anyways is farm land and factories, also some houses where farmers live." He says then purses his lips together like he's thinking hard about what our next move is. The train slows and I see a large corn field that almost seems to stretch for miles. We pass it within a minute and now we are in front of a wheat field. I look back to Lukas who is searching the ground. Then I realize.
"We are not jumping out of a train right?" I ask. He just
Chapter 3 the chaseWeeks had past I slept in his apartment and felt right at home for a long time. I had practically forgotten about the outside world and what they plan to do. I just focus on the days and climbing to the roof and learning to shoot a gun. I forgot the rules.
"Awe. Come on you can do better than that!" Lukas says then laughs. I duck behind a convenient placed air generator on the roof.
"I'm just getting warmed up. Don't get too cocky." I say and peak around the corner to see him out in the open. I aim my paintball gun and shoot at him. It hits him in the center of his stomach. I then get up running to the other air conditioner generator. He shoots and hits me in the leg but I keep running and duck behind it.
"Better." He says mocking me.
"I said don't get too cocky." I say starting to laugh. I aim and shoot three times hitting him in both legs as once in the chest.
"You give up yet?" I say sitting on the ground.
"Give up isn't in my vocabulary." He says
Chapter 2 revelationsI awoke in a room with a fan hanging from the ceiling. I sit tied to a chair. A metal table sits in front of me. I look to the rusted silver door, it is closed and the only way out besides a bared window. I had to escape somehow. I wiggle and twist my hands that are tied in a rope. My hands finally slide out, after a lot of work to it but I'm free. Someone doesn't know how to tie a knot right I think to myself. I walk to the door which is also conveniently unlocked; something is too easy like someone wanted me to escape. I walk outside to the open air. Its night and I could barely see the other building in front of me. I stick to the wall of the building so I hopefully don't get seen. I reach the corner and peak around it. There are three guys wearing all black with guns standing around talking their marry way. One of them glances in my direction. I try to shift back but it’s too late he sees me. He yells and they charge at me. I run the other direction around the building
Chapter 1 The truth of words.I walk down the street not saying a word not wanting to say a word. Talking less is supposed to be for our own good, but in my opinion I feel as if I'm trapped and unable to feel what I want. No one ever talks to me besides every few words I am told but I never say a word in return just nod and go about life.
The laws here are strictly obeyed. We
Break one we face death or even 20 years in jail. We do not speak because of a law one of the leaders passed a law saying citizens may only speak nine hundred and fifty words a day so that we may enjoy the company of others, if we are to break that law we either get death or jail time depending on our age. Sometimes I wish for things to be different but I doubt they ever will be.
The cold fall air makes me shiver as I pass a large building with windows that cover most it. The windows reflect the blue sky and everything around it, I see my reflection I am skinny with black hair that are colored blue at the tips and bi

They question me asking for my name, but I'm unresponsive knowing that I unleashed a demon and it's all my fault. I hope the others are safe.
"M'am your name?"
"Kennedy Waters." I say. The police officer is silent for a moment then he goes to his desk and grabs a phone. I watch him Dial a number. I sit there thinking of what I am to say if they send me home. I look at my arm and pull up my sleeve. I practically fainted I had a mark on me an actual mark. I was one of them, Jarred never stopped having faith In me and he was right.
"Uh ... Miss Kennedy?" The officer asks
"Huh?... Yes?" I say hoping not to have to explain what happened to me.
